We Believe
WE BELIEVE THAT BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH, THAT CHRIST ALONE IS SUFFICIENT FOR SALVATION.
WE ALSO BELIEVE
That all Scripture is God-breathed.
In one God, Triune (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit).
That Jesus was born of a virgin as God in the flesh.
That Jesus died for our sins.
That salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone; a gift that cannot be earned by any works.
That Jesus rose from the dead in a physical body of flesh and blood
and that we too will rise to be like Him.
That Jesus will come again.
That Christians receive life eternal though faith in Jesus.
The Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) is a worldwide communion of Christians whose mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We believe that we share a common ministry in as much as God has called us to be His people though the Holy Spirit for His own purposes. We acknowledge that the purposes of God are disclosed in the Scriptures, which we accept as the basis and the prescriptive standard of our faith and life (II Timothy 3).
Holy Communion
As Lutheran Christians, we believe that we are sinful and are in need of forgiveness. Jesus Christ our Lord paid for our sins by dying on the cross. He delivers this forgiveness to us in Holy Communion. Jesus said that when we eat and drink the bread and wine of this Supper we are receiving his very body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. He therefore calls us to trust in his words, put aside our personal sin, and profess our faith together in this meal. Guests who believe as we do are asked to speak to the pastor before communing if possible, and are welcome to join us at the Lord's Table.
Mission Statement
Grounded in Word and Sacrament our mission is to worship the Lord, share the Good News of Jesus, grow in the faith with the help of the Spirit and meet the spiritual needs of the community.
