WHAT'S NEW AT OUR PRESCHOOL?

Well, here I am again, staring at my typewriter, (yes, you read it correctly, typewriter!) trying to believe that we’re nearly at the end of yet another school year. The longer I work at First Lutheran Preschool, the faster the school year seems to fly by. It seems like only yesterday that our new assistant teacher Liz and I were wondering whether we would ever learn all the new names and faces of the children in our care and wondering what the new school year would hold in store for us. And now it’s almost time to say goodbye. And it’s been quite a year!

May is listening and following directions month, something we’ve been working on all year. And some of us caught on better than others!

May is also our month to visit the Baltimore Zoo to see all those wild animals we learned about in April. That’s always a fun trip for everyone!

This month the Maryland Department of Health will visit us to conduct vision and hearing screening for all our students.

And of course it’s time to honor our mothers on Mother’s Day. We’ll be busy working on pretty gifts and cards for that special Mom!

Then comes the special day! Graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, at 9:30 a.m. We invite you all to join us to celebrate this happy occasion.

You can download the registration papers by clicking on the link at the top of the page.  Your child must be 4 years old by September 1, 2008 in order to be accepted.  Spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis.  In order to secure a spot we must have your completed registration page and a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee.  When you have completed the form you can turn in the forms and money by:

1. Mailing to church at 8397 Piney Orchard Parkway, Odenton, Md. 21113
2. Bringing to office between 9:30 am and 3 pm Monday- Friday.
3. Dropping off at church and placing in lock box next to mailbox when office is not open.
4. Scanning completed form and sending by email to churchoffice@felcodenton.org and mailing or dropping off check.  Spot will not be secured until check is received. 

Spots are filling quickly and we are already ½ way full for the morning class so get your registration in soon!
